The worst of a very bad lot, Chaingunners have more HP than an Imp, and boast a rather large weapon upgrade - rather than the Chaingun they used to use, they now use Brutal Doom's Minigun. Their fragility means they're easy to put down, but whatever you do, don't let them get close, and don't let them stay there, or you'll be down in short order.Ĭhaingunner: AKA Heavy Weapon Dude. As such, they must be prioritized over other threats at close range - there is simply no other option.įortunately, they hold only 8 rounds a magazine, and take several seconds to reload - a good opportunity can arise during a fight by using terrain wisely and getting them to waste ammo before you put 'em down for the count, though this is kind of an emergency tactic. Worth noting, the Former Soldier, like all human enemies save the Chaingunner, has to reload his weapon now and actually has animations for doing so in Brutal Doom.
